Coming from a humble background, Datuk Zaiton has made it her mission to provide an equal opportunity enabling young deserving individuals to have a bright future. Her passion for this cause has led to the inception of MyPAC back in 2014 when the idea was proposed to the Bumiputera Economic Council. Datuk Zaiton has then led a team that shares the same passion as her’s.

Datuk Zaiton was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC) on 16 April 2016.

Datuk Zaiton is a Fellow and Council Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom, member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Professional Accountants in Business (PAIB) Committee, a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysia Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).

She started her career in PricewaterhouseCoopers after which she joined Bank Pembangunan as a Project Officer. She then joined Maybank where she spent 12 years in various senior positions including heading Treasury, International Operation, Branch Operations and Group Strategic Planning. She left Maybank to set up Malaysian Rating Corporation Berhad (MARC) in 1996 and was its President / Executive Director until 2004. She then set up her own financial advisory firm, Capital Intelligence Advisors Sdn. Bhd.

Datuk Zaiton has extensive experience as an independent director. She was the Chairman of the Group Governance & Audit Committee of Sime Darby Berhad (before the pure play corporate restructuring), she is now the Governance & Audit Committee Chairman of Sime Darby Plantation Berhad. She has been on the board of Bank Islam (M) Berhad since the year 2006 and had been chairing both the Audit & Examination Committee. After 12 years, she has now been re-designated as a non-independent director of the Bank in February 2018.

Datuk Zaiton was appointed the chairman of the Private Pension Administrator of Securities Commission in 2012 to develop the Private Retirement Scheme for the country. She is also a Board Member of the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance and Vice Chairman of FIDE Forum; whose objective is to enhance and promote high governance standards among directors of financial institutions in Malaysia. On the 10th August 2018, Datuk Zaiton was appointed as the Board Member of Lembaga Tabung Haji.

Seri Idawaty is the head of market development for MyPAC (Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre). She is responsible to oversee the growth of sustainable pipeline of students completing professional accounting qualifications through strategic engagement with employers, higher learning institutions and professional bodies. In addition to that, Seri is responsible to develop programmes that meet sponsoring partners’ requirements. She is also overseeing the overall branding and marketing functions for MyPAC.

She has more than 14 years’ experience at ACCA, where she started her career as Student Counsellor and was the Head of Learning when she left the organization in May 2015. She completed her Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA, and passionate about human capital development through life-long learning.

NOOR ZARINA MOHAMMAD NOOR

Noor Zarina Mohammad Noor is the Chief Operating Officer of the Malaysian Professional Accountancy Centre (MyPAC), where she provides strategic leadership and oversees the organisation’s overall operations and support functions.

She first joined MyPAC in July 2015 as the Head of Corporate & Support Services, responsible for human resources, finance, corporate administration and governance. She was later appointed as the Head of Scholar Management, where she led the end-to-end development, engagement and performance management of MyPAC scholars. Her leadership and experience across both functions led to her promotion as Chief Operating Officer.

Zarina is a Chartered Company Secretary and an Associate member of the Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (MAICSA), holding the designation ACIS (CS)(CGP).

Before joining MyPAC, Zarina served at the Malaysian Directors Academy (MINDA) as Head of Learning & Support Services and Executive Assistant to the CEO/Executive Director. As one of the two founding team members of MINDA, she played a key role in setting up the organisation’s operations, managing board development programmes and leading support and knowledge management functions.

Zarina graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) majoring in Marketing from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She began her career in the automotive industry and quickly rose through the ranks to become Group Human Resource Manager for three companies under the same group — Competitive Supreme Sdn. Bhd. (Ssangyong), Brooklands Motors Sdn. Bhd. (Citroën), and Total Titanium Sdn. Bhd. (Aprilia) — where she was instrumental in establishing and managing the HR department for the group over a period of five and a half years.

She later joined SCOMI Engineering Berhad, a subsidiary of SCOMI Group Berhad, where she was involved in talent development under the Corporate Services Division.

 

With over 20 years of experience in human capital, corporate services, governance, and operational management, Zarina continues to drive MyPAC’s mission in developing and supporting future professional accountants in Malaysia.

Zaidi is the head of finance department for MyPAC (Malaysia Professional Accountancy Centre). Zaidi is responsible for the overall finance department’s operation. Zaidi was appointed the head of finance in March 2018. His appointment has led to the efficiency of the finance department and Zaidi has also manage to execute efficient cost-saving activities. His passion for accounting has fueled his career development in MyPAC.

Zaidi has more than 7 years of experience as a chartered accountant, starting his career as an auditor in a medium-size firm before entering the commercial industry. After his first employment, he then pursued his ACCA qualification. He had then secured employment in Celcom Axiata Bhd. as a Senior Finance Associate and in later years, ending his employment in Edotco Malaysia as the Financial Specialist Manager. He shares the passion of developing the accounting ecosystem which has led him to join MyPAC.
